…and just like that, it’s May 1st. Oh my! This year is flying by.
I was in a sewing mood this week, and a lot more sewing happened than cross-stitch. I always forget that Spring tends to be that way. I have programmed myself to start cross-stitching when it gets dark. Well, it gets dark later, so less cross-stitch happens.
Last week, I was working on Stitcher’s Garden Berries. This is a stitch along. You can read about it HERE.

There is more stitching in this than I thought.

I finished it, but it took me most of the week. I ended up having to print a working copy and use a marker to cross off what I had stitched. Otherwise, I was losing my place.
I plan to start another one this week, but I am not going to spend so much time on it. My goal is to get my Garden Club by Blackbird Designs further along, so I am focusing on that this week. Here is where I was last week.

I’m not much further along this week.

I would love to get this block done this week if I could.

Right now, I only have six blocks done. I’d really like to work on this until it’s finished. Who knows if that will happen, but I’d like to. I always feel so good when I get another block done.
I did order a pattern this week.

I saw a teaser about this a couple of months ago and knew that as soon as it was available, I wanted to get it. I think I have some Kim Diehl fabrics so I can finish the pillows similar to these…SO CUTE!! I think the only place the pattern is available it through Fat Quarter Shop. I found it HERE.
I might set my Stitcher’s Garden Berries aside and work on these or Patriotic Pears. The Berries can be displayed anytime…the Patriotic Pears and Americana Trio would be best for summer. We’ll see. For now I know I really want to get another block done on Garden Club Series.

I’m so glad you ordered the Kim Diehl pattern! I love the way the patchwork framing the pieces ties your cross stitch to quilting. Your Stitchers Garden is coming along nicely and will be quite lovely . You do such lovely work!
I am not a cross stitcher, but I do love seeing your work. Thank you for sharing.
Ii like the berry and it will fun to see it completed. The new Kim Diehl little pillows are so cute and will be great when you do those. You give us much to look forward to!
You are so bad! I had forgotten I had seen the Kim Diehl pattern. I saw your post and ordered it! I love PDF patterns. I love your garden club your stitching, it’s beautiful! Hugs,
