Cross Stitch Update: March 27th, 2026

I stitched some over the last week. I watched quite a bit of basketball…and I watched more than I stitched. Some of the games were pretty intense.

I finished up the stitching on this piece. I didn’t have much left so it wasn’t hard to accomplish that. I stitched it with mostly the called for colors. There were two I didn’t have, and I subbed in some close to matching DMC. This was a VERY fast stitch. If you’re looking for something quick to stitch, this would be it.

I had a scrap of mystery fabric so I don’t know what that is…sorry. Now it’s finished!!

I have to fully finish it. I’m a little nervous about that. I’m sure it will be fine, but I know me, and I work myself up a bit first. HA!!

I’m wanting to finish up some of my WIPS, so I pulled this one…

I had the tiniest start on the middle pillow that says “Hello Summer”. I ended up doing all of the stitching for that one.

I’ve done some thinking about the other pillows. I don’t think I’m going to stitch them right now. I think I’m just stopping with the middle pillow. There are so many other summer-themed things, including 4th of July, that I’d rather be stitching.

I also worked on my Garden Club series. This gardener’s skirt had been giving me some problems. Here is where I was…

I am stitching this on Atomic Ranch’s Frieze in 40 count. It has a bit of pink and green mottling. The colors get changed as needed. I always try to pick something close to the called for DMC if the original color no longer looks good.

I only stitched on this one day while Anders was falling asleep.

I started this as my New Year New Start. I’m hoping to have this finished by the end of the year. I was a little ahead on stitching and now am only keeping up.

I also worked on this…Heartstring Samplery’s Consider the Lilies. I am stitching this with the called for colors on 40 count Vintage Country Mocha.

This is slow-going work but I’m so excited again…This is three weeks in a row that I’ve stitched on it. I have a loose goal of trying to stitch three motifs a week (I didn’t say that out loud because I don’t want to jinx myself and quit stitching on it. As you know, this piece has a long history of stops and starts.)

I stitched a few more letters. I stitched the flowers above the turkey. There are three that I completely finished and one more that I started.

I’m so happy with my progress. I should probably start on some of the border flowers. If I save them until the end, I know I will regret it.

I stitched enough on these things that I think I’m going to pull a project that I bought from Market. Hmm. There are so many awesome ones to choose from. I’m off to decide which one.

  3. Great stitching! I really like Hello Summer and of course the bunny is so cute, well it will be when you finish it. Consider the Lilies will be beautiful when it is completed.
