I didn’t get much cross-stitching in this week. I had the grandkids three of the days this week. I had doctor appointments two of the day and a dance recital in there too. I keep telling myself that once I get to the 4th of July, things will slow down. Fingers crossed.
I grabbed my Consider the Lilies from Heartstring Samplery. I only worked on this one night. I finished the little bit of green I needed to stitch on the border. Then I decided to try to stitch a motif. I started a tree but didn’t get very far.

I am stitching this on Vintage Country Mocha in 40 count with the called for colors.
Then I got an itch to stitch something patriotic. I couldn’t remember but I thought I had something started. I looked…and I did. I put about three stitches into this when I was in the hotel when I had radiation in March. I had put in about three stitches and gave up as the hotel lighting was bad.
This is one-over-one stitching. It isn’t hard as it is on 28 count Mushroom Lugana. It’s just slower.

I only stitched on this for a few minutes while I was getting Anders to take a nap. I hope to get back to it again. This is Souvenirs of the Heart, Star Spangled Spectacular from With Thy Needle and Thread. I am using the called for colored.
I pulled this when Rick and I went to Iowa City for my doctor appointment on Wednesday. I did a little stitching on the grassy area. It was something I could stitch without having to constantly look at a pattern.

This is Teresa Kogut’s, Faith, Hope, Peace, Love. I started this sometime back and haven’t stitched on it much. I am using the colors called for. I saw Lisa, Kindred Stitcher, on Flosstube finish hers. She used a pretty bluish color. I liked that but am content with the linen I used. I believe it’s Morning Coffee from xJu.
I had fun pulling out some projects I haven’t seen in a while. Hopefully I’ll get some time to work on them a bit this week. We’ll see. Even though I thought I’d have more time next week, the days are filling up. HA!!

I am surprised you had time for any stitching. You have a full and busy life and what you do it much more important than stitching. The pieces you stitch are beautiful and I always enjoy seeing them, but certainly understand why not much progress especially in the summer.
I really love that Star Spangled Spectacular pinkeep/pillow. It is adorable!
