Cross Stitch Update: April 24, 2026

This was a SLOW week in the stitching department. I’ve had lots of things happening that have kept me from my stitching chair. I think the biggest thing is that it is darker later at night. I don’t end up sitting down as early. Also, my days have been packed with people…and that’s a good thing. Today, as you are reading this, I am off to yet another doctor’s appointment. I’m happy and feeling pretty good, so that makes me happy…stitching can always happen at another time.

Here is where I was when you last saw my Garden Club series from Blackbird Designs.

I am stitching this on Atomic Ranch’s Frieze in 40 count.

I’ve hardly done anything. I just finished the personalization…Last week I had guessed that the word Waucoma wasn’t going to fit so I got creative and just dropped the last couple of letters down a little bit.

I don’t mind the look at all because it is kind of a prim-looking piece anyway.

If you look really close you can see that I marked off the start of the next block. You can see two tiny x’s. Those are going to be the bird’s feet.

Getting that first start is always a challenge. The blocks all have to line up.

I pulled my Consider the Lilies by Heartstring Samplery. I only stitched on this for about 20 minutes while Anders was falling asleep on one day.

I didn’t bother taking a big picture of it as all that happened was a started a border flower. I so wish I would have had more time for this. I’d like to get a few border flowers done so I can see how it’s going to look.

The final thing I stitch on was my Stitcher’s Garden Berries. This is a stitch along. You can read about it HERE.

I just pulled out a chart and started…Pins and Needles was the winner. After looking at them all. I think the pink floral one is my favorite. I’m using the called for colors.

There are a lot of stems and vines to be stitched next. I ended up making a copy of the chart and will use a highlighter to mark off what I stitch.

That was a VERY boring cross stitch update but that’s all I have for you this week…WAIT!

I discovered a new flosstuber and it’s a guy who stitches. I had so much fun watching the latest episode. I think I’m going back and starting from the beginning to watch them all. The channel is 04petessake.stitch. You can find him HERE. He stitches all the things I would love to have stitched!! Go and check him out.

  1. Your stitching, as always, is beautiful.
I’ve been working on Sheep Virtues. I got stuck last night on the border. For the life of me, I could not figure out where I went wrong. After counting and recounting, and recounting again I finally found it. SO frustrating but happy that’s over!
Thank you for the flosstuber – I’m always on the lookout for something!
    Love and prayers

  2. I always enjoy seeing what you stitched. The pieces are looking good. Since I hardly do any cross stitching anymore, I haven’t watched any floss tubers but I clicked on the site you included and watched some of his. I agree that he does much of what you might like to do. That was a fun diversion.

  3. I absolutely love the Garden Club series. May search out something similar but for 14 ct. Aida. Cannot work on linen, beautiful tho it is. Your work is amazing.

  4. I’ve been watching Peter since about his episode 2 or 3. He is an amazing stitcher and fun to watch. The gorgeous pieces on the wall behind him testify to his skill and artistic ability.
