I had another busy week with my grandkids and family. Summer has been just awesome for family time. That doesn’t translate into much stitching time though. That’s totally okay. I have trouble sitting down and stitching until it’s dark outside anyway.
I didn’t stitch two evenings this week…that never happens so you’ll see my progress was slow.
I was busy working on Itch to Stitch by October House this week. That’s the top chart.

I am stitching it on the called-for linen with the called-for threads. I thought about changing the colors but so far, I just went with them. I’m about half done…

I stitch that while Kayla was here visiting. The counting was easy to do and being I’m a seasoned stitcher it was a project I needed a lot of concentration on.
I’m guessing I’ll finish it up this week.
For Summer Stitch Camp with the Colorado Cross Stitcher, I’m stitching Patriotic Rose by Threadwork Primitives. I am stitching this on 40-count Lakeside Vintage Meadow Rue.
Here is where I was last week.

This is where I am now…

It likely looks like I’m finished but I have to stitch the two stars on each side of the eagle and I have to fill in the leaves on the right.

I very much am enjoying stitching on this piece. I’m really glad that I joined in on Summer Cross Stitch Camp. It got me to finally get a patriotic piece stitched. I think it’s my first one!!
I worked on Pet All the Dogs by Teresa Kogut. I was working to get the border done. I am stitching this on Seraphim’s 40-count linen called Boston with the called-for flosses.
Here is where I was last week.

Here is where I am this week…

The border all met up. YAHOO!! I got the third line from the bottom stitched too. It’s not a lot of accomplishment but enough to make me happy.
Oops. I also stitched two of the border flowers. I wanted to do them because they will give me an idea of how the colors will look.

I’m so excited about this piece. I just LOVE it!!
All of the “bones” are in. Now I can stitch whatever I want. I could sneak in and start the house. I could start the alphabet along the top.
I just LOVE when a piece gets to this point. It’s FREEDOM!!
I plan to take this to the retreat in July. I think it would be perfect to work on the house…or the flower border. I’m super excited for the piece and it’s so perfect for me as an animal rescue volunteer. Once the piece is finished I am going to write the names of every dog I foster and care for. It will be so meaningful for me!!
The next piece in my rotation didn’t get worked on. It’s Lady Liberty by With Thy Needle and Thread. I am stitching this on a scrap of Lakeside Vintage Meadow Rue in 40 count. Here is where I was last week.

and sadly, that’s exactly where this piece stayed. UGH.
I did get the needed threads in and I have them ready to go. I’m hoping this week I might get back to her. My goal is to get the flower post stitched. I’m not too confident about that though. I have another busy week. I have grandkids slated for several of the days and that includes running to swimming lessons, baseball and the like. I have three graduation parties this weekend too. Busy, Busy.
My garden is needed another weeding. So far it’s been good sadly because we haven’t had rain to sprout those weeds.
That’s all I have for you in the stitching department!! Fingers crossed for two finishes next week!!
Although you didn’t have much stitching time, I think you accomplished quite a bit. All the projects look real good. really like your Liberty Rose, such a good patriotic project.
I’m loving all of your updates – especially Pet all the dogs. I have a dog and 2 cats – I need to figure out how to put them both in!
Love and prayers
