Cross Stitch Update

I’m getting a little closer to being back in the swing of things, but not quite there. I did get some stitching done on two different days last week.

I had worked on this piece before we went on vacation.

This is American Trio from Kim Diehl.

This is the only one I had left to finish, and I’m happy to say it’s done!

Here are the three from the series.

They are ready to be fully finished. I have some Kim Diehl fabric, so I plan on digging that out and finishing them as she did. I love the patchwork look of finishing them.

I would really like to stitch another pattern that she has out, Miss Pittypat Pumpkin. You can find it HERE.

I’ve been trying to be good and not spend money so it might have to wait until next year…It’s perfectly okay if I wait. Then I’ll know I really wanted it. It will be just as cute then as it is now.

I wanted to but didn’t get any stitching in for Blackbird Academy. It is a stitch along. Each month you stitch on a Blackbird piece. It can be the same piece as long as it follows the prompt.

I had said that I thought I would try to start The Winter is past.

I think I’m changing my mind. I really should have been stitching in August already, but there are no real rules.

Instead, I think I am going to pull out a project I originally rejected. I have the For the Birds series started.

After seeing what others have been stitching, I realized there was an alphabet in this…

The piece is made up of nine blocks…I might be able to get a couple done by stitching on them during the stitch-along. For now, I’ll just jump in and stitch on the already started bird. By the time June comes along and the stitch-along is over, I’ll add my alphabet month in then. Right now I’m two blocks away from the alphabet, and I don’t want to count that much to get to that block. I’m content with my decision for now. Who knows…I might change again. For now, I’m just happy to be thinking about stitching.
