Cover Girls: With American Patchwork and Quilting

Have you gotten your issue of American Patchwork and Quilting??  If you have, you’re likely to have seen our quilt!!

Red-White-and-Ooh
That’s it..our quilt, “Red, White, and Oooh!!  It’s smack dab right there on there on the front cover!!!   Of all the projects we’ve done, this is our own real cover position.  We’re so flattered.

This is one of the projects we were trying to frantically put together last August.

Red-White-and-Ooh-1

Our good friends over at Forest Mills Quilt Shop are offering a kit with all of the same fabrics.  The kit is very reasonably priced.  If you’re interested, you can follow this link to purchase a kit.  We got the quilt back from American Patchwork and Quilting and Kelli’s task today is to get the quilt delivered to Forest Mills so they can display the quilt along with the kits.  If you are over this way in north east Iowa head on over to their shop and you can see the quilt.

Carolyn, from the shop, also told me that there is a quilt show in Ames this weekend that they are vending at.  They plan to bring the quilt along with the kits.  Check them out and tell the gals Jo and Kelli sent you!!

You can see a slide show of the other projects in this issue here.

I have to say, we loved working with the folks at American Patchwork and Quilting and hope that we can do it again sometime soon.

  1. So Proud to live in Iowa. I love American Patchwork and Quilting Mag. The quilt is beautiful. Red white and blue always makes me swoon. Congrats . Now you have got me wanting to head to Ames for a quilt show :) I live 1 1/2 hour south of Ames… so tempting. Janita

  2. Congrats on such a beautiful quilt! I am into making quilts for the QOV organization. When looking at the cover, I thought it would be a wonderful quilt to make for a veteran. So I bought this magazine at a fabric store as I had to have it right away. Imagine my surprise to find out the designers were from a few miles from where I live. A week later my subscription came in the mail. Just like chocolate, can’t have too much of a good thing! Kelli and Jo keep up the good work !! I look forward to using some of my stash to make this lovely quilt.

  4. Great looking quilt! No wonder it is on the cover! My copy of AP&Q will be in my PO Box in about 2 weeks. So frustrating to have to wait! And yes, I do live is the USA!
