Last week my oldest two girls, Kayla and Kelli, went with me over to Country Threads’ “Big Event”. Â They always have great deals, sales and goodies to enjoy and we didn’t want to miss out. Â I was so busy shopping and rummaging that I forgot to take pictures…UGH!! Â Then just as we were leaving Kelli said she hadn’t been in the barn before. Â Then Kayla said, she had her camera with her.
I ended up taking some barn pictures to show you….Mary had the upstairs loft of her barn fixed up years ago making it a classroom. Â It’s a rustic beauty!
Flags hang all along the rafters…and quilts hang there too!!
Many of the quilts are past patterns from years gone by. Â The pumpkin project here is one I made…and it’s applique and I did applique. Â It just goes to show I can applique, I just choose not to.
Kelli was in love with this quilt and the happy news….it’s in the free quilt book that customers who made a purchase where given as an appreciation gift.
This ice skater quilt next to it is in the book too.
This table runner is in there too. Â This one is on my someday list. Â It’s a great use of crumbs.
There are antique quilts in the barn too. Â Here’s Kayla showing one off…
This circular table topper is my favorite. Â I have loved it for years and years but never bought the pattern. Â For a LONG time I didn’t have a circular table and then now that I do have a round one I always have leaves in it so it’s oval. Â The project is still on my someday list. Â I just love it!
I had a nice time at Country Threads…I am excited that I’ll be back on September 25th and on October 9th. Â The gals at Country Threads are hosting two different camps and asked me if I wanted to come over for a day or two of camp. Â How could I resist??
I think there is still room and I’d love to sew with you!! Â Anyone want to join us? Â Here’s some information if you are interested….Linnea, if you are reading this, are you going to one of these??
WooHoo! I’ll get to meet you at the Bittersweet Camp in September!. There are 5 of us in the Illinois contingent. We always have a great time! ~Jeanne
So, what’s the name of the book that you got for free–I think I’d like to order it!! Love that star quilt!
What a wonderful space! Perfect background to display those quilts.
Do you know where to get the pattern for the circular table topper? I would love to make one for someone special. Thank you.
what is the pattern for the circular tablecloth and where may I purchase it?
IT’s a Country Threads pattern. They are no longer in business. You could check ebay or contact Mary the designer. She blogs at Country Threads Chicken Scratch.
