Country Threads…My Personal Favorite

I was scheduled to teach class last night in Clear Lake, Iowa.   My favorite quilt shop, Country Threads, is just a few miles further…and I couldn’t resist temptation.  I took lots of pictures so you could join in a bit of my fun.  The gals were loading up to attend a quilt show so many of the sample quilts were gone.  BUT trust me, there was still plenty to see and be tempted by.

Isn’t this little quilt a cutie….It greeted me outside before I even entered the store!

They are all ready for fall.

I thought this little quilt kit was the coolest.  See how the fabric is rolled together to look like a pumpkin.  Honestly, it was tempting to just buy the kit and not make it as it was SO cute.

They specialize in darker prints with a touch of primitive…but there’s a bright section too.

Here’s a couple more shots….The farm quilt is so “Country Threads”.  They have chickens, geese, dogs and goats all on the farm where the shop is located.  The geese were honking and the chickens were pecking as I walked up to the shop.  Mary is more than happy to let you interact with the animals.  There are shop cats and outside cats too.

This is a BEAUTIFUL wool piece.

As I was checking out the gals popped in copies of their newsletter, The Goat Gazette, and a pattern to make this quilt.

CountryThreads-8

I already have both so I thought I would pass the goodies on to you.  So up for grabs today…
3 issues of the Goat Gazette and the pattern.

If you would like to “win” leave a comment.  I will pull out a winner Friday.  Tomorrow I will show you more pictures from Country Threads…The next set of photos are my favorites.  They all show reproduction fabric quilts….my FAVORITE!
