Community Quilts from Ronda

I have quilts from Ronda to share today.  She sent some beauties.

Ronda writes:
I have a couple more quilts to share with you.  Both of these tops were sent to me directly from my friend, Evie H. of Los Angeles, California.

She always includes the backing and makes the binding for me to use, also, so everything coordinates beautifully.  I love getting tops from her as she is a very precise piecer and often sets her blocks on point, which adds interest along with all her scrappy goodness.  The first top was made using 9-patches she received from doing a swap.

She decided to use a color other than a neutral for the sashing and like how it turned out ~ and so do I!

This quilt is a nice lap size at 64″ X 75″.

The second top was… also made using 9-patches from a swap.

She used the hourglass block as an alternate block to make this beautiful quilt.

The backing and binding were also included for this one.  This quilt is 62″ X 74″.  Both of these quilts were donated to Opportunities Unlimited.

Those are the quilts from Ronda…Aren’t they all sharp-looking??  I love how the hourglass blocks set off that last design.  I always forget about using that design until I see it again.  I think I need to work that into a future design.

Thanks so much to both Ronda and her friend Evie…and to all of you who have donated to the Good Deeds fund.  I was recently able to buy a roll of batting for Ronda…and sent her a lot of backing fabric that had been donated to me.  If you’re interested in helping Ronda with quilt tops or backing fabric…or more batting, goodness knows she’s going to need it with how productive she is, you can find her as #2 on the Donation Page.  Find that page HERE.

  1. It is so inspirational to see how one block, the hour glass can make another block look so good. Love it and thank you for sharing with us all.
