I have community quilts from Ronda to share with you…These are some fun ones so I’m super excited to share them.

“I have a few more quilts to share with you today. The first top was made by Evie H. of Los Angeles, California. She made the top starting with some 4 1/2″ blocks that she received with a bunch of scraps from another quilter.Â
She then sewed those blocks together to make 8 1/2″ blocks. She did a terrific job as it’s always more difficult to make a top out of what someone else has started.Â
Evie also sent the backing and made the binding up for me as well. This quilt measures up at 54″ X 63″ and was donated to Opportunities Unlimited.
The next top… with the red and blue star blocks, is also from Evie. She told me that she saw the kit, which is a Nancy Rink pattern for Marcus Fabrics, at a quilt show she attended several years ago.Â
She passed by it several times before deciding to go ahead and buy it. She was excited to get it home and she finished it relatively quickly, but then it sat for years without being quilted. Finally, she decided to pass it on, as she no longer loved it. She also sent the backing and binding for my use.
The quilt finished up at 74″ X 85″ and was also donated to Opportunities Unlimited. The staff person that I deal with at Opportunities Unlimited told me that all the quilts that I/we donate are a big hit with the “persons served” who reside there and that they get very excited because they get to choose which quilt will be theirs.
The third top was sent to me from Cindy E. of Mansfield, Ohio.Â
She originally intended to make this for her bed, but changed her mind and sent it on to me instead. Opportunities Unlimited was very happy that Cindy changed her mind!
Cindy also sent the backing and I made scrappy binding to finish it off. This quilt finishes at 81″ X 99″.
WOW…what nice quilts were donated. I’m impressed with all of the work from the people who made the tops to Ronda’s great finishing work. I am sure Opportunites Unlimited are so happy whenever they see Ronda bring in a stack of quilts!!
Way to go, Ronda! Those are beautiful!
Love each of them!
Beautiful quilts! Great job by all involved.
Gorgeous!
Really striking quilts, I love them.
Lovely quilts, I know whom ever will be gifted with one of these quilts will be a fortunate person. Such gifts of love.
It is so great to see how every one shares their talents in such a loving way.
Keep up the wonderful work
Beautif quilts!!! Oove them all. I bought a quilt using the broken circles in blue and white. I loved it still not ready to try to copy it. I so enjoy seeing what can be done with pieces of fabric and imagination.
Fantastic quilts. Sure to be well loved.
Beautiful quilts! Well done by all who pieced and quilted them!
