Community Quilts from Ronda

Yahoo!!  I have quilts from Ronda to show you today.

Ronda writes:
I have a couple more quilts to share with you today.

First up is the brown flying geese and friendship star quilt top that you passed on to me from Jan in Wisconsin.

I paired it with backing from LaNan E. in Primghar, Iowa.  The binding is from my stash.

This quilt finished up at 52 X 64 and was donated to Opportunities Unlimited.

The second top was… also one that Jan had sent to you and you passed on to me.  I added the red polka dot border, using the fabric you sent to me, to make it a bit bigger and used that same fabric for the backing and binding.

This quilt is 61 X 70 and went to Opportunities Unlimited.”

WOW…I loved them both.  Ronda did a great example of how quilt tops come in and are a little smaller than they could be to best serve the place the quilt is being donated to.

So many places where quilts are donated to request that quilts be a particular size.  Adding the borders allows finishers to best serve the organization and the recipients.

Amazing work Ronda and Deb.  Thanks to all who donated to make these quilts happen.

Ronda did a nice job finishing these quilts that Jan pieced. Thanks to each of you and Jo as the” in between” person in completing these.
