Community Quilts from Ronda

I have a treat for you today.  Ronda sent quilt finishes and there are three.

Ronda writes:

I have three more quilts to share with you today.  First up, this was a top you forwarded on to me from Jan in Wisconsin.

She did a nice job of piecing this Snail’s Trail top.

The backing came from Jane Z. in Flora, Indiana.

This quilt finished at 52 X 68 and goes to Opportunities Unlimited.

This next top is …

one I made, using the leader/ender method as I was putting blocks together that others had sent me, or making binding strips or backings.

I save any scrap that I can get a 1 1/2″ square cut out of, so this whole top was made from the scraps leftover from other tops.

The 4-patches finish at 2″.  The quilt finished up at 65 X 67 and also goes to Opportunities Unlimited.

The border and binding fabric came from Sandra in Texas and the backing is from my stash.

The last top came from Maryanne C. in Perkasie, PA.
She also sent the backing and binding.

This top finishes at about 41″ square and will go to the Ronald McDonald House.

WOW!  What fun quilts.  I love them all.  I really think I should make the second quilt that Ronda made.  It’s perfectly scrappy.  I love it!!

Thanks to everyone who sent things to Ronda.  I love when I see posts from Ronda as so often the quilts are sent directly to her and I don’t see the tops until they are finished.  It’s an extra treat for me!!

  1. Jo, thanks for the treat this morn. Rhonda did a great job with all the quilting and I love her scrap quilt too–great use of fabric. Thanks to the other quilters for their beautiful piecing and donations of fabric to finish.

  2. Rhonda — and all your volunteer quilters — do such professional work! I really love the colorful four-patch! I, too, save small pieces to make scrap quilts, but not as beautifully as hers. I must gain the courage to do some FMQ even though that intimidates me tremendously!

  3. Love that scrappy quilt Rhonda made. An adventure exploring each square. The other quilts are really good and fun too. I started doing leaders and enders with 1& 1/2 inch triangles just for fun they are coming along nicely some day a baby quilt to see. Good work all you ladies.
