Community Quilts from Ray

I have a couple of quilts from Ray to share with you today.

Those Cresco ladies did it again with this awesome beachy quilt.

I am guessing that they cut up a vintage panel and made a nice lap quilt out of it. I love it and have had several compliments on it from ladies dropping off commission quilts to long arm.

As I was looking for backing fabric, this nautical fabric jumped out at me. The fabric is from Doreen C in IA and is a great compliment.

I went with… the bone-colored thread and the stipple stitch so that the front and back of the quilt could show off.

My thanks to you, the Cresco ladies, and Doreen for another beach quilt.

I just love this quilt from Maureen M. in OH.

It exudes so much fun and energy with all the bold, bright colors. Since the blocks are 6 inch squares, I must assume that Maureen individually cut these blocks from scraps to assemble the quilt.

I had to use the stipple motif and neutral thread so the excitement would come through.

The backing is from Linda W. in NY. I wanted a backing that was based on the red, yellow, green, and blue colors that are so prevalent in the top.

My thanks to you, Maureen, and Linda for the pieces to put this wonderful quilt together.

It’s so fun to see these bright friendly quilts.  I just know they will bring comfort to whoever gets them.  MANY thanks to everyone who donated and helped these quilts become a reality!!
