Community Quilts from Ray

I have quilts from Ray to share with you today.  Ray is still on a roll completing lots of quilts.

Ray writes:
This is a beautiful quilt that Joann C. in CA sent to me to complete. It is some type of variation on a 9 patch.

Love how the various blocks contrast to the dark burgundy blocks. It is so rich-looking. Then the deep blue border really makes it pop.

I wanted to give it some special treatment but I did not want to interfere with the pattern. I finally decided to use a deep red variegated thread and stipple motif.

I found the backing in the stash from Deb and Pat in FL and liked how the reds worked well together.

Beautiful quilt if I say so myself. Many thanks to you, Joann, Deb and Pat for all the various contributions that have made this and many other quilts donation realities.

Here is the second quilt Ray finished….He writes:
Just finished getting some pics of this cute little quilt that was made by the ever-famous Cresco ladies. This is another top from their marathon orphan block sewing extravaganza.

It is a beautiful log cabin pattern and all the fabrics are floral. Love the color combinations. So soothing.

I could not leave well enough alone and had to use the floral quilting motif for even more flowers. I did use a neutral bone-colored thread so as to not take too much away from the top.

The backing is from Patricia T. in WA.

My continued gratitude to you, the Cresco ladies, and Patricia for your support.

WOW…all great tops that I am sure will be loved long into the future.  Many thanks to all who made these happen.
