Ray is busy trying to squeeze in as many community quilts in as he can before the snowbirds come back. Here are his latest two finishes.

An anonymous blog reader sent me this spool quilt top to finish and to donate.

I can’t think of a better quilt pattern for a bunch of quilters than a spool quilt. As a plus she used some beautiful pink, green and black fabrics to pop against the white background.
I used the sewing machine quilting motif to lonagarm it. I couldn’t resist.

Hopefully you can see them.

My thanks to you and Ms. Anonymous for your wonderful support.
Just when you think everything is under control, life sends you a curve ball out of the blue. Now that I think I have that under control, it is time to do some community quilts. I recently found this one from Kathy S. in IL.

Kathy did a wonderful job piecing it and it looks amazing. By accident I came across the pattern. It is called Strip it Three Ways and this is the Prism variation. I am patting myself on the back for making a decent first attempt at binding a non-straight border.

Kathy included the backing.

My thanks to you and Kathy for your support.
I love the colors on both of these quilts…so pretty. Many thanks to the top makers and to Ray. He always does such great work. I love that Ray gets to practice some new skills like binding the zig zag edges!! Thanks, everyone. Great work.

Beautiful work by everyone who brought these quilts to life
Wow! Just wow! What amazing quilts. And I love the quilting on both quilts. They are just gorgeous. Great job everybody!
Beautiful quilts! I really like the spool quilt and then I saw the next one, oh my. I love the sewing machine motif. Thank you to all who created these masterpieces! Ray, great job with the zigzag binding.
