Ray is trying to squeeze in all the community quilts he can before the snowbirds are back in Florida! Ray writes:
I needed to take care of some paying customers and their quilts but I am back with another community quilt. Joan S. in IA sent me this top to finish.

There is just something special about the color of reproduction fabrics that soothes the soul. She used the courthouse steps pattern for this creation and I used the Baptist fan to longarm it.

Love the result.

My thanks to you and Joan for your gracious support.
Sometimes quilts hit more than one “love that” button and this is a prime example. Arline H. formerly of FL sent me this red, white and blue top to finish for the veterans dinner.

On top of that it is made from men’s shirts. She also included the binding which is from one of the shirts in the quilt.

Awesome!!

My thanks to you and Arline for your tremendous support.
Off-da friends. These two quilts both had me wanting to run to my sewing machine!! Both are totally my style. I love making traditional reproduction quilts and I love making quilts from shirts. So fun!! Thanks so much to the ladies making the tops, and Ray, you made them shine.

I especially love that red, white, and blue quilt. Brilliant work!
Ray does such gorgeous work. The quilts are beautiful.
I love these quilts and the inspiration they bring to me. Thanks for sharing.
Wow, I really like both quilts!
Oh I would love to make that version of court house steps! And Ray did a great job quilting it. Any idea what that starting piece size would be?
I pulled the quilt. The center red block is 2 x 5 finished. I hope that helps.
Oh, perfect! I can definitely figure it out from there.
Such great quilts! I really like the courthouse steps with some of my favorite fabrics. Great finishes for both. Thank you Ray for finishing these quilts and thanks to the makers of the quilts.
