Ray is at it again with another wonderful grouping of finished quilts!!

I have a wonderful community quilt to share with you. Bev C. in NY sent me several boxes of UFO’s that she needed to rehome as she was destashing. In one of the boxes was a group of fun, kid blocks that needed to be assembled.

Steve and I both liked the start and decided it would be a great project for him. I looked in the stash to see what could be used for sashing and cornerstones. I initially saw the multicolored fabric that was used for the cornerstones and the border. Then I saw the solid lime green and decided it would work for the sashing.
Steve set to work and now we have a finished quilt.

I think the backing came from the Deb and Pat stash. Great group effort!!.

My thanks to you, Bev, Steve, Deb, and Pat. We did it!!
As you will recall, Arlyn P. in MA has sent me several patriotic tops to finish for the Veterans Day event. This is the most recent top received.

In it was a wonderful note and a statement – I finally used most of my red and blue stash. That must have been quite a stash of red and blue fabric. Each quilt has been so unique. This is a variation of the around the world pattern. What a statement it makes!
I used the stipple motif with white thread on the top and bone colored thread on the back.

The backing is from a bundle that you sent me some time ago that I have been holding onto for just the right quilt.

My thanks to you and Arlyn for all your support on this patriotic quilt project. Stay tuned, there are still more to come.
I just added the binding to this beautiful quilt from Jean.

I am guessing it is from a set of spring colored jelly roll strips. Such special colors. There is a great mix of rail fence blocks and checkerboard blocks. I know it is close to autumn but it will soon be spring and the perfect quilt for a spring picnic.
I used the butterfly motif with white thread.

I unfortunately do not know who sent the backing which is the perfect combination for this top.

Loving it a lot!! My thanks to you and Jean for a great quilt.
What a great bunch of quilts…all so different but all wonderful. I just love that quilting allows so many different expressions and styles. There truly is something for everyone and Ray’s recent finishes here prove just that!! Many thanks to those that donated and helped make these quilts happen. GREAT work on finishing these Ray!!
