Community Quilts from Laurie

Laurie has been a busy girl.  We had quilts featured by her last week and now, we have quilts from her again this week.  WOW!!

I say it all the time but it’s so true…Laurie can take a simple quilt and really make it shine!  Can you see the feathers in the white area on this quilt?

She gave each row its own individual treatment.  So clever.

I can see Laurie thinks like me…when you can’t decide on the thread, grab variegated thread!!  It never fails me!!

I’ve great that Laurie included extra photos so you can see the great motifs she incorporated in this.  See?

Here is the backing…

WOW, right?

Here is one last look at the quilt…

Next up is this charm square quilt…

Laurie used a pretty backing that used many of the same colors as the front..and she used a great stripe for the binding.  I love stripes on the binding.

Here you can see the backing and some of the great machine quilting Laurie does.

It’s a special day that involved three finishes.

Check out this quilt.  The design is very nice but simple.  Again, Laurie’s machine quilting really makes it shine.  I think it’s the little design in the white space that makes it pop!

She had the perfect backing for this one!

Again, check out the backing to really see the great machine quilting.

All of these tops were made by the Cresco ladies…and all were finished by Laurie.  Great job ladies.  I am so impressed!!

  1. I agree, three very nice, impressive quilts and quilting. Thank you ladies for your donations of time and fabrics.

  2. That third one is such a beautiful use of a large floral! I find those fabrics gorgeous but sometimes hard to use to show off their beauty. This one really does it well!

  3. Karin A Callander

Wow! All 3 stunning quilting! I have one just like that first one on the frame right now, I’m pondering. I was going to do very similar in each row.
Hearts, waves and swirls. No feathers for me, the…i absolutely LOOOOVE them, but I do not have that skill in my bucket, not by a long shot!
