Community Quilts from Joey

This is the last bunch of quilts from Joey for a bit. She is taking some much-needed time to care for her husband. MANY thanks for all you have done Joey. You’ve been a great team member and I appreciate your work so much!

Joey writes:

This is the last of 100 quilts completed in 2023. All but one (the last pink & blue is from me) of these are donated by Rebecca B in WI

This measures 55 x 72 beautiful fabrics I quilted it with free-form feathers.

Backing from my stash bound with muslin

The cute stripy quilt I quilted this with zig zags in pink & hearts in the blue butterfly strip.
Measures 40 x 55

Backed with a floral from my stash. I’m thinking this pattern could be used with a bunch of my strips. Everyone has leftover scraps!

Another step quilt measures 36 by 56 a good wheelchair size. Quilted Zig zag & different feathers

The backing is from the donated stash, Rebecca sent the binding

This gray quilt is a winter-themed quilt with deer & snowflakes. It’s 45 x 61. I’m loving the layouts of these quilts

I quilted it with a serpentine wave across it. The backing is a striped number from the donated stash

This Christmas quilt is 36 x 50. I quilted holly leaves & berries in green thread.

Backing & binding is from my stash. I’ve used up a bunch of Christmas fabrics this year.

This was a prepieced fabric I acquired somewhere in the past. Did overall meander. The quilt measures 42 x 56.

Backing from my stash looks like that 80s preprinted quilt fabric. It matched the pinks & blues on the front.

Who would know that the last quilt was from a “cheater” fabric? It looks GREAT! I am sure it will be loved and keep people warm. Many thanks to Rebecca for making these tops and to Joey. Can you believe she finished 100 quilts for charity? I wish we had service badges or something to fun to commemorate. Maybe you can just leave a comment thanking her for her great work!!

  5. “Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You drink? And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You. And when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You? And the King will answer and say to them, Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, eventhe least of them, you did it to me.” You truly do a good work on this earth to God’s glory. May the Lord hold you and your husband in His hand.
