I recently shared some community quilts from Joey…here she is with another batch that is ready to share.
Joey writes:
“These were shirts that were given to me to use from a memorial quilt I was commissioned to make. I made this up as a backing but she wanted a plain backing. Debi P said just use it for the community quilts.

The next 2 are ...
…Mini & Mickey quilts, I used gingham for both backing and binding. Quilting one with Hearts and loops, the other spirals.

These two have the same backing & binding as well, the fall colors go so well together. I did free hand orange peals on one & free hand leaves with loops on the other.“

Joey is donating these to Southwest Wisconsin Community Action. Thanks so much for finishing these and passing them on. They look great. I believe these tops were all made by the Cresco Ladies. THANKS!!
If anyone has backing fabric or batting that they could share with Joey in the finishing of more community quilts, please contact her at djmahieu@icloud.com.
Thanks Jo, I got batting in, I’m good with batting.
I’m in LOVE with the quilt made from the shirt “backing”! So “primitive”, so scrappy, so fantastic! WTG, Joey!
Thanks! Put to good use.
