Community Quilts from Joey

Joey has some fun quilts finished quilts to share but they weren’t finished by Joey. Blog reader Sylvia contacted Joey and asked if she was interested in tops and FINISHED quilts. Of course, Joey said yes! Today she is sharing the finished quilts Sylvia sent that Joey will be donating.

She writes:

All of these baby quilts were pieced and finished by Sylvia A. in Germantown, WI

This sweet pink & purple quilt is flannel top & bottom novelty fabrics in a rail fence friendship block.

This center is of baby animals, backing is small florals in pinks & gray with a gray polka dot binding. The quilting is paisleys
.

This balloon panel has matching border prints, backing is of animals with balloons, bound in an orange tops it off nicely.

This is a fun alphabet panel bordered with blocks from childhood alphabets. The backing is right in line with the theme, bound in blue to set it all off. Straight-line quilting enhances the panel.

This pink baby quilt is so cute, using a rail fence pattern with white dots is so cute, love polka dots. All over the quilt. Quilted with a serpentineĀ  stitch over all the seams make this a super quilt

Thanks, Sylvia, these will go to SWCAP.

Sylvia also donated tops that need quilting, pics to come later!

WOW!! These are wonderful quilts. Thanks for all of your work it making these and then donating them. I love them all and am sure they will be loved by their recipients. I’m looking forward to seeing the other tops that Sylvia donated once Joey has time to get them all through the longarm.

  1. Sylvia is one of my best friends, She is so generous. She makes children quilts for many different charities all year long.

      1. lovely blog but this dummy could not locate the sign up for it. I did see that she pieces on a treadle and or handcrank machine but quilts on an electric machine. Can you tell me what i missed for signing up for her blog??

      2. I, too, adore these baby quilts and the artistry of Sylvia but I, also could not find a place on her blog to sign up to follow the blog. Did I overlook it it too?

  2. All adorable quilts. Thank you Sylvia! You are a very generous quilter and your work will be so appreciated and put big smiles on some recipients.

  3. Oh, Sylvia & Joey – they are all just precious! I know they’ll be loved to bits! Thank you for sharing them with us!

Some years ago you wrote about a pair of gardening gloves.
You were very pleased with them. I ordered a pair and also
loved them. Somehow those beloved gloves disappeared! I had some
medical issues & periodically would look for them. Still no gloves. If
possible would would you please send me the information I need
to order more. Read your email every morning. Love it!
    Thank you
