Community Quilts from Joey

Joey has been a busy girl at the longarm. Today she is sharing four finished quilts. She sent me more emails so be on the watch for even more quilts from Joey.

This cute Christmas panel I quilted with swirls & curls. All of my quilting is freehand. I added a burgundy backing & binding from the donated items.

This double-size 9 patch is Christmas-themed. I quilted feathers in the border & cathedral window in the blocks, flannel backing from my stash to make it extra snuggly.

I call this a garden party, pretty flowers with green I meandered through it all. I added the floral backing & binding from my stash.

This is the other half of a quilt I took apart to make 2 small quilts. It was long & narrow, I added a border to it & backing from the donations.

Great work Joey. I think all of these tops were donated by the Cresco Ladies…correct me if I’m wrong. I can’t keep track of all of them anymore!! It’s so good to have Joey on the Community Quilt team. She always does such great work.

  1. These are really nice, Joey! You did a good job of matching up the tops and the backings, and your quilting is lovely!

  2. Beautiful quilts and very nice quilting. Thanks to all who made the tops, or donated fabric, and Joey for quilting them. May some little recipient be blessed by your generosity.
