Community Quilts from Janis

You might remember Janis, the newest addition to quilt finishers. If you missed the story about her group, you can read it HERE.

Janis writes:

Jo, generosity has poured forth from your blog. We have received 30 beautiful quilt tops, numerous pieces of cheerful yardage, usable orphan blocks, thread and a monetary donation. Your blog fans took the time to sort through their creations, carefully package them, take them for mailing, and pay precious money for postage. WOW! I’m sending a mountain of thanks to you and your followers!

This lovely quilt was finished by one of our ladies. She was thrilled with her accomplishment in class.

Another lady made herself a much-needed oven mitt in the beautiful purple fabric.

The quilt and material were sent by your bloggers. We are grateful for the response we have received!

This warmed my heart. Thanks to those who sent goodies Janis’ way. How exciting that the women at the shelter can learn to sew. As we all know, sewing and quilting are great for both the mind and body. I so appreciate all you have done to support Janis and he group. If you have goodie that need a home, you can contact Janis at this email.  jeepsterjan@gmail.com
