I have quilts to share with you from Barbara. You might remember I sent out a whole bunch of quilt tops back in January or so. I’m now getting some of them back in. This bunch is from new quilt finisher Barbara. Thanks so much for volunteering!! I love seeing so many of these coming back from new finishers. Thanks also to the Cresco Ladies for providing the tops!!
Here is the first quilt top made with pretty yellow and black daisies and dark grey. I found a green garden print in my stash with more yellow flowers for the border. The backing is a yellow and black floral. I used dark grey thread to quilt a loop and half-daisy free-motion pattern.

Next up, the quilter used…
cartoon-type animals and several prints with dots to make this top. The backing is a white with multicolored dots and the quilting is loopy hearts with pale green thread. Binding is black with a white dot.

The last quilt in this group includes squares cut from a Debbie Mumm print paired with gold and green. I found a stash piece with folk art angels that went perfectly with the Debbie Mumm print for backing. I quilted it simply by outlining the squares and did squares and wavy lines in the borders.

Thanks to the Cresco Ladies for using their time and talents to make such adorable quilt tops for donation and thanks Jo for giving me the opportunity to finish these quilts! They will be donated to a local Women’s shelter for use by the moms and kids there.
Didn’t Barbara do a great job?? I’m sure impressed. Many thanks to the Cresco Ladies. You all contribute SO MUCH!! Your dedication doesn’t go unnoticed!!
Cute tops by the Cresco ladies and wonderful customized quilting by Barbara. Love that she added a border to the first quilt to make it more usable. Great work by all! These are sure to be appreciated.
Great looking quilts! Thanks Barbara and the Cresco ladies. These quilts will keep some little one comfortable.
Great quilts and finishes!
The Cresco ladies impress me with their creativity using bits and pieces and then the ladies who finish them add the icing on the cake. All for a great cause. Well done ladies!
Hi Jo! I’ve searched and searched for the name of the book that you referenced for cross stitch alphabets. I haven’t been able to find it. Would you please publish the name again? I love your blog! I think you’re taking life as it comes. I thoroughly enjoy all your kids and grandkids. I especially enjoy all the pictures of everyone. Thanks in advance. Cheryl
I used Brenda Keyes Ultimate Sampler book. Here is a link. https://www.cross-stitch-usa.com/product-page/ultimate-sampler-motifs-source-book-brenda-keyes
