Community Quilts from Barbara

Barbara has been busy at the machine finishing up community quilts. She has three to share with us today.

She writes:
I have three more Community quilts to share. These first two have been donated to the Pregnancy Resource center and they were so happy and appreciative to receive them.

First is this purple and yellow quilt. I chose pale yellow thread and quilted it with ruler work. The backing and batting are pale yellow dots. It was such a lovely top to work with.

Next we have this adorable baby quilt made with all sorts of geometric and novelty prints. The backing is a green batik print and the quilting is a hearts and loops pattern using pale green thread.

The final quilt of this group will be donated to a very deserving senior at our local nursing home who loves the color pink!

The simple piecing of this top highlights the beautiful landscape print and the green and pink coordinate perfectly. The quilting is the hearts and loops pattern using pale green thread on top and pink on the back to go with the pink backing print.

Thank you so much to those who gave of their time and resources to make these great tops so that I could enjoy finishing and passing them on to be used and loved!

Barbara does such great work. I’m so glad she signed on and is working with us to finish charity quilts. Many hands truly do make light work. A big shout-out to the Cresco Ladies for making the tops. I’m off…Barbara said she’d like more tops to finish and I have some here ready and waiting. I’m going to package some up and send them her way!! YAHOO!!

  1. Another great finisher! Jo, you’ve done a fantastic job of getting everyone working together, to be able to give so many quilts for different charities. If you lived in the UK I would nominate you for an award for services to charity!
