Community Quilts by Ronda and Friends

It’s a happy day and a treat day.  Ronda has three community quilts to share.

Ronda writes:
I have a few more quilts to share with you today.  All of these quilts have been donated to the Ronald McDonald House.

The first one was a top that you forwarded to me from Jan in Wisconsin.  She did a great job of piecing these pretty star blocks!  The backing also came from you, Jo, and was possibly one of your thrift store finds. The binding came from Judy M. in Lynchburg, Virginia.  This quilt finished up at 48 X 64.

The second top…

was another one you forwarded on to me, originally from Maryanne C. in Perkasie, PA.  She also included the backing fabric.
The binding came from Sandra in
Texas. This quilt finished up at 40 X 47.

Maryanne used cute kid print fabric in each of the framed blocks.

The third top and backing fabric were also forwarded to me from you, originally from Maryanne C.

I added the borders to increase the size from 40″ square to 46″ square and used fabric from my stash for the binding.

Wow Ronda, what a nice bunch of quilts…Thanks so much to everyone who helped make these happen.  What a treat to see the wonderful work done by all!

Those are beautiful quilts. The star quilt needs to be added to my list of to-do quilts. Thanks to all involved with these quilts. Thanks for sharing.

Reading this post, when Rhonda’s picture of the backing came up I laughed out loud. In puttingy stash back in their places I came across some 4patch blocks that had been given to me they the same material as the backing she used. Then scrolling down to the next quilt there was the African animals Fabrice which I have some of the same material. Such fun to see how the fabrics were used. Thanks Mary Ann and Jo.
