Community Quilt from Ray

Ray isn’t take much of a summer break. He’s been working on quilts all along.

He writes:

Julierose H. in CT made this amazing quilt for me to finish. WOW!!

I love the pattern.I am guessing with a little bit of strip piecing it would go together pretty quickly.

Sounds like a win/win to me.

I selected a stipple motif to longarm it with a light gold on the top and a dark gold on the white backing.

My thanks to you and Julierose for you generous support.

I finished another red, white and blue quilt for the veteran dinner. This one is from Arlyn P. in MA.

Per her note the pattern is called Log Cabin Stars.

Beautiful quilt with those bright red stars and blue backgrounds.

My thanks to you and Arlyn for your support.

Thanks ladies. These tops are wonderful and both quilts I would love to make myself. Amazing work!! Many thanks to Ray for all the work he does to finish and donate these. I can tell you from experience that after I’m finished with a quilt, I’m ready to be finished. I’m not excited about taking pictures and writing about it. Ray does great work to take the time to share his work with us. You’re the best Ray!!

  1. Loving all the quilts you are making. I sure hope you will be able to put together some more sewing quilts alongs soon. I really miss you in my sewing room.

  2. The first quilt is called Zip (kinda like zipper). The pattern I found is on
Klein Meisje Quilts blog. Lynn has instructions to make the blocks.
