You might remember me mentioning the Pierce City Quilters in Pierce City MO….well today’s quilts are from Caro, my contact person of the group. She has been busy using fabric that I sent to her….
The border of this beauty was given to me by Carla of Longarm Quilting Inspirations. Carla was cleaning out her stash and asked if I have a place to use extra fabric…well of course I do. I have a great connection with so many of you that make charity quilts…so of course I can find a good home for it.
Caro has blog with more photos and entries. You can find it HERE.
Here is another quilt she is working on…Connie sent me the brownish string blocks. I loved them when I saw them!
Caro also showed off quilts with their matching backings. Some of them were donated by you and I sent them on to Caro.
I love the many “many hands make light work” theory. It’s so true. I also love the philosophy that Kramer and I have…we either have time or money but we rarely have both at the same time.
Donations of fabric to the charity group often proves that to be true. The groups have time to quilt but not the money to buy the needed supplies. When we all go through our stash and donate, it is so helpful to them….and happily, they do great things with the items we were no longer using.
Thanks so much Caro. Please pass along our good wishes to your group. You ladies rock!!
Oh So happy to see those string blocks put in a quilt! That turned out really cute.
I’ve been having a heck-of-a-time reading your blog (as well as a couple others) lately, as the page jumps constantly. I noticed the url said “unsecured” — the url I have for you is “http:” — it needed to be updated to “https:” — adding the “s” has made all the difference. Thought I’d let you know in case others were having difficulty with your blog.
