I’ve been trying this week to check things off my to-do list.
I machine quilted this quilt for my girlfriend….
I don’t know the name of the pattern. I am assuming it’s a turning 20 or Yellow Brick Road pattern. My girlfriend had me pick out the backing. She had asked for a yellow fabric. I had tried and tried to find a print but nothing really popped out. I ended up just using a yellow Kona cotton. I actually like it lots. I used a variegated thread for the quilting. It really added interest to the quilt. Of course I forgot to take a close up picture so you could really see it.
The other thing I did was sign up to go see Bonnie Hunter again!! Kelli and I are going to see her at the end of March in Davenport, Iowa. Anyone else coming? Here’s the picture from the last time I went to see her….I am really excited to go again.
Kelli and I looked at her schedule and we don’t see when she’ll be this was again, so we are taking advantage. I asked Kelli which workshop we should go to…she said, “Mother, it’s Bonnie Hunter. We’re going to all of them.” So yep, we are going to all of them.
I got the groceries bought. I did took care of my meetings for month.
I also got a quilt cut out from this fabric…
The to-do list is getting smaller…Wee-ha! Now I need to figure out some way to not add anything else to the list…then maybe the to do list would get done.
Today I am hooking up with Confessions of a Fabric Addict, The Girl Creative, and Crazy Mom Quilts. Head on over there and see what everyone has checked off their list!!
Love the colorful quilt. I like variegated thread for quilting, too. I think it adds so much to the quilt.
I also love verigated thread I use it in alot of projects. How fun to meet Bonnie I would love a chance to meet her. Can’t wait to see what your quilt you cut out will look like.
Oh I’m so jealous!!!! But Bonnie is coming to our Guild next spring, so I guess I’m just going to have to wait. Enjoy your classes!!!!
I think you mean the end of March you are going to see Bonnie. I checked her schedule cause I usually go see her with a friend when we can and it says she is going to be in Davenport at the end of March. Was so hoping that I could go and to meet you too! I love your blog!
That is exciting for you. I just found out I am going to get to go see her in Little Rock in the middle (13th) of March. I have met her before but am so excited to get to see her again. We will be doing Star Struck.
The customer quilt is gorgeous. Is it all hand-dyed fabrics? Just looking at it lifts the spirits…even with this cold I picked up.
Oh, yeah….tell Gracie she looks really cute sitting on it. :)
Your friends quilt turned out lovely!
I’m so excited to hear about Bonnie going to Davenport. That is my hometown!! I’ve lived in the Houston area since 1989. It would be so much fun if I could go home for the workshop. Jo, Kelli, and Bonnie Hunter under one roof – isn’t that going to be cool!?!
Great quilt & envy abounds at taking ALL of the classes with Bonnie!
Whoop Whoop!
Such a beautiful quilt! And I can’t wait to see what you’re making with that beautiful stack of fabric….. Whoop whoop!!
Beautiful colors in the quilt! Lucky you to work with Bonnie:)
