I’ve had a wonderful time working with Ray. She’s the newer longarmer who has volunteered to finish up some of the tops that have been sent my way.
Ray writes:
“Here is the second quilt. Today was a wonderful, warm, sunny day so I took advantage of the weather and got some picks outside. This quilt uses a lot of the same as well as similar fabrics that was in the one I sent pics of earlier. I call them sisters because of the similarities. I used the same backing, binding and quilt design on both. Joann does a great job with piecing and makes longarming them a pleasure.”
This is a disappearing nine patch. It’s always a great pattern/technique to use for a charity quilt.
I would not have thought to bind with white binding, but I love it!!
Here are the two quilts together that Ray has done…
The same quilting motif was used on both of them!
Isn’t it such a happy design? What’s not to love about big loopy flowers?
Thanks so much Ray. I can’t wait to see what you do with the other quilts that have been sent your way.
A big shout out and thanks to Joann for donating the quilt top.
Both quilts are adorable!!! That quilting flower motif really pops!!! Great job ladies!
Those are lovely quilts. Great job ladies. Thanks for sharing.
