Great news in my inbox…more charity quilt were completed and delivered to their charity. These quilts were bound by Anne D. Aren’t they gorgeous? I love the rich colors.
Getting pictures of these quilts has been so fun for me. I was so sick when I worked on many of them and hardly remember them. I was a lot sicker that I ever let on when I was taking my radioactive iodine treatment. I guess sick might not be the right word. Exhausted would be. So when I see these it’s like seeing them all over again for the first time.
Anne writes, “The two quilts you sent me were both from Laura Hervey from Dallas, Texas. I donated them to our local hospice care center and they will be given to the residents to snuggle up in.”
That’s awesome knowing that people will find comfort at the end of their lives wrapped in a quilt. Thanks for picking an awesome charity Anne.
Now here’s some individual pictures of the quilts….This one must have been a sampler. I’ve found many sampler quilts end up here as charity quilts.
The browns will be awesome for a guy….
Thanks Laura and thanks Anne…I appreciate your work. I can’t thank you enough. You both have been great in supporting this project….

Such pretty charity quilts and for such a good cause! I hope you’re feeling much better and stronger now. And that your foot gets better soon so you can be up and around soon, too!
Both beautiful quilts. Thank you for starting a way for UFO’s to get to the finish and either given to people in need or sold for the proceeds to go to charities. You started this alone and now you have volunteers to help get more quilts out there. And thanks to all the volunteers and quilters .
I’ve been working my way through all the finish it up friday links and there have been so many beautiful charity quilts, including these lovely too – it warms my heart to see so many people putting their talents to comfort others :)
Great work Jo. My first time visiting you and I was really interested in your Charity pages. We have a group here called Stitching Hearts http://stitchingheartsquilters.blogspot.com.au/ and we are doing much the same thing. Sorry to hear you were so sick – hope things are looking brighter.
