I recently got an email from Ronda- the amazing charity quilter!
Ronda writes:
“Hi Jo,
I have three more finishes to share with you. These came to me from Cynthia Emerson in Ohio. They were all finished quilt tops. She included the backing and binding for the disappearing 4-patch. I provided the backing and binding for the first two. These three are headed for the CSADV (Council on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence). I am so happy to be able to work with other quilters and to be able to provide someone who is hurting with the comfort that a quilt gives. ”
Check out the work that Ronda and Cindy teamed up do to make these wonderful quilts.
This quilt looks like a version of Scrappy Bargello. Â That pattern is in Bonnie Hunter’s Scrap and Shirttails I.
The backing is perfect!!
Here’s another fun quilt that Cynthia sewed and Ronda finished….
If you look close you can see that the batiks are irregular shaped with some thin and some thicker. Â I love the look…do you?
The backing is perfect for this. Â I don’t think anyone could have picked a better one.
I love this disappearing four patch. Â The colors sure are great.
I can’t believe all the work and projects Ronda gets done. Â Yes, she has help from donations like Cynthia’s but my-oh-my she has a fast turn around!!
Thanks Cynthia and Ronda. Â Your generosity is amazing.
Three fabulous quilts. Amazing work on the part of both Cynthia and Ronda.
Beautiful quilts ladies!!!!
Wow again to these ladies. Blessings to them for their use of talents to help others!
Three lovely quilts! Nice work ladies! It’s so wonderful when Quilter’s work together to provide hope and love to people who need it. I’m on my way to my guild’s workday where we will be working on quilts for local charities. It’s a fun day with friends and the outcome is a bonus! One of the benifits of belonging to a guild is being able to participate in activities such as this. Making quilts can be a lonesome activity unless you have a group to share the fun!
Love the work that women do to support the women in need. Wonderful!
Wow!
