I’ve slowly been getting back in the swing of things and completing some of the charity quilt tops that readers have sent to me.
Here’s the latest finish. Â This one is from Michele.
The top is really cute and provides a great way to use up a novelty print. Â I recently had gotten an email from my sister in law wanting to know if I could think of any patterns that could work with a novelty print that she had with cherries on it. Â This would have been cute.
Here’s a layout of the whole quilt.
I was lucky this time around, Michele provided a backing for most of the quilts that she sent and most of the backings were just enough larger so that I could get the binding cut from the backing. Â I love working on charity quilt tops regardless of how they come to to me but this was a special treat.
For the quilting I just did a free motion floral design that I often do. Â It’s easy and I don’t have to concentrate to do it…perfect for days when I am listening to an audio book.
Thanks so much for sending the quilt tops my way Michele. Â I have one more to finish and that one is already off the frame and just needs a binding.
This one is already boxed up and ready to be sent out…I finally got a box full again! Â Thanks to all who have sent quilt tops.
Beautiful, Jo. Who wouldn’t love to receive and wrap that beautiful floral quilt around them! With all the work you put into charity quilts, would really LOVE to see the quilting. Can you show it more, maybe on the backing if it’s easier to see? Thanks! Keep up all your good works.
Love the charity quilt! I have lots of questions: Is there a site that lists where to send finished quilts? I have made some but have a problem finding them homes. I think of disaster victims and know I have things to share but can’t seem to figure out how to accomplish this part of the project. Can anyone send you tops to finish? Do you need a place to send them on to for binding?

Anyone can send them.
If we don’t find a charity event or organization for the quilts we pass them on to Quilts of Compassion. You can find them on Facebook.
What a fabulous pattern for large scale prints! And this quilt is absolutely gorgeous! It is sure to be loved!
I love charity quilts. Great top for those special fabrics I don’t want to chop up!
Oh isn’t it pretty! It does look like a wonderful way to let novelty prints really shine :)
Absolutely darling. Where do you send your charity quilts?
