I just got an email for a blog reader Jill K. She was one of the awesome people who stepped forward to bind one of the charity quilts.
The quilt that she bound was made by Ruth P in Pennsylvania. It was such a fun little quilt. The purple and lime worked so well together.
For fun Jill tried to see if her beagle would be interested in posing on the quilt much like my Ruby does. Jill writes: “I took the finished quilt outside to take pictures of it and decided to take my beagle with me. I have to tell you, he was not in a mood to cooperate! Once I even threw an m&m on it! Your dogs have been so photogenic! My Chase needs work! ”
This made me laugh!!
Ruby poses on quilts so easily but I’ve been doing that with her since we first got her. She thinks sitting on quilts is her life work!!
If fact I went to the archives and found this picture. It’s the first picture of quilt with Ruby on it. The photo happens to be of the quilt that I made for our daughter Kayla’s wedding.
At the time, Ruby had only been with us for a about two weeks. Even then it was easy to get her to pose. I will admit she does so much better with a camera that doesn’t have a flash. That’s why I use my phone for most of the picture taking.
Anyway…A huge thanks and shout to but Jill and to Ruth. You are a important link in the chain that is getting this quilt to someone who needs it!! THANKS!!
