Chain of Faith: Kathy’s Version

One of my favorite things about making quilts for Moda Bake Shop, is when people send me pictures of their version.  Just a couple days ago, Kathy did just that.

Here is Kathy’s version of “Chain of Faith”.

ChainofFaithA(2)

I love the colors.  Kathy says that she made the quilt using a layer cake and yardage for the chains.

She credits her friend Kathy with doing the quilting as she does not have a long arm.  Don’t you love the feathers??

ChainofFaithB-2

It looks so, so soft and comfy.  Thanks for sharing with us Kathy…I LOVE it.

If you don’t remember what the original looked like, here’s a reminder.

I have other readers who have completed the quilt.  Here are links to Charisma’s, Tisha’s and Vic’s.

If you are looking for the free pattern for this quilt, you can find it here.  If you have a quilt that you made from a pattern Kelli and I designed, feel free to send it to us at rogjok@iowatelecom.net.  We would love to feature it here on the blog.

  1. Hi Jo,
Love the second version of the quilt. Colors are so relaxing.

I have happen to find your site while searching for Pfaff Grand Quilter and Grace Next Generation frames. I just set my unit up and loaded my first practice muslin. I am having a little trouble getting it adjusted. Will try out the hint on skipping the thread thingy!! I have ordered a Darning Plate to cover the feed dogs, so in the meantime I have placed a piece of plastic with a tiny hole for the needle. I have a feeling that it is the problem.

On your Pfaff, what settings do you have your machine set at. Tension, stitch length, etc. Any help you can give me would be greatly appreciated.

Excited to get up and quilting with it! Fun Fun Fun!!!!

    Thanks,

    Linda
