Come one…Come all!! Â Anyone want to work on a UFO and try to get it finished before Bonnie Hunter’s new mystery comes out on Black Friday?? Â Well today is the day to tell us what you’re working on.
For me…it’s my last year’s mystery, Celtic Solstice. Â This is how I last left it.
Since Saturday when I pulled it out to work on, I’ve made just a bit of progress….I have five of the star blocks done! Â It’s not a lot but it’s progress and I’ll take progress any day!
For my friend Nell who started all the Bonnie UFO Challenge stuff with me last year, she’s working on Tumalo Trail (another one I’d love to make!)
So if you want to play along with us, just make a blog post and tell about your project. Â Put a link back here to my blog in your post. Â Then come here and link your blog post. Â Easy-Peasy. Â If you don’t have a blog, feel free to leave a comment in the comment section and tell us about your project and your progress…
We’ll be back here each Wednesday and have the final reveal of your (hopefully) finished quilt on December 3rd so keep coming back to check out the progress.
Mine is sandwiched and awaiting quilting. I had some surgery on my hand in July so that’s been quite a setback. But I think I’ll be ready to get into the quilting soon. I’m also finishing up Tumalo Trails and Smith Mountain Morning. Bonnie’s coming to my guild in April, so I really am motivated to get them done!!
I am working on Rick Rack Nines. A group of ten of us worked on this as an exchange project over the course of several months and are making it out of 1930’s reproduction fabrics.
I have several I will be sending through my machine. 1: Rainbow Chevron 2) Random 4 Patch which will actually be two quilts in the end. They may not be finished, but I know I will make a lot of progress making the blocks and doing the layout.
I’m in!!! I hope to get my easiest finish done before the Mystery. My Midnight Flight just needs to be quilted. I have a few other Bonnie Projects to work on too, if I get bored waiting…
Count me in! I’m working on Orca Bay from a few years ago. If I should get it completed then I can switch back to Celtic Soltice. Happy Stitching Everyone!

Great plan, I love doing this each year..pushing out one or two oldies but goodies before getting to the new mystery! I posted this on Quiltville’s Open Studio so hopefully we will get lots of new folks over to join in! I will be working on Lozenges, Playing with Jacks, Nines Surrounded…that should keep me busy!
I am also working on my Celtic solstice blocks. My ADHD self is also making backings for finished quilt tops and assembling UFO blocks.
Hi Jo and Kelli, Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed your lecture and trunk show with the Dubuque guild. The workshop was great, also. Love the quilt we were making. Now I just have to cut about 1000 more 2 1/2″ squares to finish it! Thanks again. Linda
I’m joining you too. It’s going to be fun to work on this one.
Hi, I’m new to your blog. Could you tell me about the upcoming mystery challenge?
