I’m doing a little series of posts that feature old blog posts. I have been going back and looking at them. It’s been fun. I started blogging in June 2009…WOW—over fifteen years. Today, I’m still playing catch-up, so today I’m telling you about March of 2015.
I started my in-home childcare business in March of 2015, so I wasn’t able to do nearly as much sewing as I previously did. The house was still a wreck from moving. Life was crazy.
In the February 2015 Blast from the Past, I told you I was holding a “great quilt giveaway”. I sorted through my quilts and let family and friends pick a quilt. It was finally Kayla’s turn. She picked this one…

The quilt was the first mystery quilt I ever made from 2010.
I was working on my Pineapple Crazy blocks. Sewing time was few and far between as I was still unpacking and setting the house up.

Someone tried to steal one of my quilt designs and sell it on eBay. So many of you wrote and told us, and were so supportive. You can read about that HERE.

I was in a MOCK car accident. The “blood” was just makeup. I have done this several times for the first responders and fire department.

We had moved into the house we were remodeling, the current house I live in. We had a lighting issue. We didn’t put in enough lights at the time. Spencer, Kayla’s husband, is an electrician and he installed this extra light for us. What a blessing!!

The outside of the house was still a mess. No lawn. We were arranging for the cement guys to come and lay the back patio.

Kramer was busy doing little things in the house. Every day after work, he was working on something. On this day, it was shelving in the broom closet.

Another job he did was putting up shelving and a clothes rod in my bedroom closet. You can read more about it HERE.

He put in a low set of hooks but the back door so the childcare kids could hang their coats. Nowadays the grandkids use it.

He built removable shelving in this antique wardrobe we use in the upstairs bathroom for storage.

We got a bat in the house…You can read about that HERE.

I told you…not much of note much happened in March of 2015. From writing this review. I can see I wrote fewer blog posts as well. Settling into a new house and a new job can do that.

An antique wardrobe for bathroom storage? What a wonderful idea! The removable shelves make it perfect.
I love your look-back posts. You and Kramer are a fantastic pair of visioning and getting it done beautifully with economy in mind. ❤️
These. Two blogs were interesting. It was good to see a picture of Kramer. Plus your book report.
I enjoy all your posts. As I scrolled down I thought, there’s Kramer. That’s disgusting someone stole your design.
It is always interesting to read the “blast from the past” blogs. It is fun to see how far you have come with the house. Kramer sure was capable in so many different ways. You both worked hard and have a beautiful place as a result.
