I’m doing a little series of posts that feature old blog posts. I have been going back and looking at them. It’s been fun. I started blogging in June 2009…WOW—over fifteen years. Today, I’m still playing catch-up, so today I’m telling you about April of 2015.
I previously did these posts monthly and then somehow got behind. My hope is to catch up…I still have a ways to go!!
I was still in unpacking mode at the house. Well, maybe not unpacking mode, but I was busy settling in. I didn’t have my sewing room unpacked, but I had a sewing machine on the main floor of the house, and I worked on Pineapple Crazy blocks to feed my soul.

Kelli and I had a quilt called Stars and Stripes Forever published in American Patchwork and Quilting. You can read more about it HERE.

HERE is another blog post about the quilt.

Our Tops and Bottoms quilt that was renamed Strawberry Sundae was published in Quiltmaker. You can read about it HERE.

I finished a baby quilt just in time for a baby shower. I made this from leftovers from another quilt. I made it round robin style not knowing what I’d add. I made the medallion in the center and just kept on adding to it. You can read more about it HERE.

I finished up a baby quilt. This was a top that was sent to me…I finished it and then donated it. You can read more about it HERE.

Here is another community quilt I finished. This one got sent off to someone else to bind…then they donated it.

My Spoolin’ Around quilt became a quilt top…You can read about that HERE.

I wrote a blog post about how I print paper piecing patterns on tracing paper. You can read about that HERE.

I tried a new pumpkin muffin recipe. I still make these regularly. You can find the recipe HERE.

I shared my bread pudding recipe. You can find that HERE.
I shared Anne’s Banana Muffin Recipe. You can find that HERE.

I made a version of Sopapias. You can read about them HERE.

Although we had moved into the house, we were still working on it.

We had an insulation company come and spray insulation around the foundation.

The air conditioner got installed.

Cement workers came and did the sidewalks.

Lots of little things were being done…the icemaker was installed in the refrigerator.

The range hood got installed…

That’s it for April of 2015. I was settling into the house and settling into doing full-time in-home childcare. I didn’t write as many blog posts then.

BUSY month you had! So much progress sewing, publishing, home renovations…..
Happy Saturday Jo :-)
So much going on! Your calendar was full and you still found time to quilt and blog. Thank you, Jo.
The quilts you and Kellie got published are beautiful! You still make beautiful quilts. It still amazes me how much work you and Kramer did on the house and still had jobs besides. I am sure it helps being young when doing all that!
