Between Heaven and Texas @ Jo’s Country Junction

Between Heaven and Texas Blog Hop

Today is our blog hop day!!  Kelli and I  are going to show you our 12″ star block.

When we were putting our block together, we were inspired by two classic blocks, pinwheels and stars.

We spent a lot of time playing with the color placement until we came up with our final block.  Moving or changing colors can really change a whole block.  We made our block using bright colors as we want to send it on to the Linus Connection.  The Linus Connection volunteers are planning to put donated blocks together into a quilts for children.  What a worthy cause!!  You have a chance to help too.  I hope you will make an extra block and send it to the Linus Connection too…after all, lots of blocks means lots of quilts.  You can find the details on where to send your block here.

  3. Currently I live in NC. It is beautiful. This state has mountains, forests and the ocean. What more could you want?

  4. Iowa definitely has four seasons. Sometimes they are a littled mixed up like the 6 inches of snow we got Thursday and Friday. Green grass, trees and flowers blooming and then snow. My husband, the farmer, has four seasons too- planting time, hay time, harvest time and tax time!!
