Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop and Giveaway

If you are new to the blog…WELCOME!!  I love when new people stop by.  For those of you who are regulars…thanks for hanging out with me!  Today I’m hosting a giveaway as part of the “Beat the Winter Blues Blog Hop” sponsored by the Quilting Gallery.

Beat the Winter Blues - Quilters' Blog Hop Party

I tired to think of something fun to giveaway….I wanted something fun..something cheery so I came up with this!

Giveaway
This is a copy of Quilting Quickly.  It features lots of fun great projects from the gals at Missouri Star Quilt Company.  It’s a great magazine with lots of fun quick projects.

The jelly roll is one of Moda’s latest, “Glamping”.  You can check out all the fabrics in the line here at Fat Quarter Shop.  The line is super cute with lots of bright fun colors that are sure to chase the winter blues away.  I get such a kick out of the name “Glamping”…what is it?  Glamorous camping??

You don’t need to follow my blog or follow on facebook for a chance to win…but you sure can!!  Right now I have 980 facebook followers.  I am going to sweeten the pot.  If I reach 1000 followers by the time the giveaway is over, I will find another set of goodies to giveaway.

If you would like a chance to win..let me know..are you are camper?  I am not.  Anything except my bed or a bed in a hotel just doesn’t cut it for me.  Relaxation to me is a hotel and an hot tub, good food and some antiquing…oh and before you go, check out another giveaway we have going on here.

  1. We spent a semester in a motor home and that I’m afraid has spoiled me for camping. It was so much fun! I recommend it to everyone to try out! Thanks for putting my name in the hat for your drawing!

  2. Years ago my family and I enjoyed tent camping, but those days are past. Now I enjoy camping in a cabin- with showers and hot water.

  3. We camp, but it’s not very rustic. We’ve “upgraded” to a pop-up camper and electric blankets (it gets cold at night). Our friends are worse – they bring these monster pull-behind campers with heat, water, showers, etc. That’s not camping :)

  4. I must be the weird one – I love camping, and have been doing some multi-week expeditions in very remote corners of the world. But I also love the fancy 5-star hotels.

  5. I am a Girl Scout leader, and this year went with other leaders for Outdoor training. We had such a blast that weekend – slept in open platform tents, learned to cook over an open fire, made an oven out of a cardboard box, etc. I could totally be a good camper, except for one thing – the rest of my family. My husband is not interested, because he has done so much camping earlier in his life. And my own girl scout does not want to do it. No sense of adventure!

  6. I used to do a lot of camping as a kid and in my young adult years, but I can’t handle sleeping on the ground any more. These days DH and I “camp” in hotel rooms, LOL! Thanks for the chance to win. Those looks like really fun fabrics for summer projects.

  7. I used to love to camp, then I had kids…it became a “hassle” not a vacation. Now my idea of camping is a Motel 6! Thanks for the chance at a terrific giveaway!

  8. I loved camping, was camp leader for more years than I care to remember. Now we have a trailer on some mountain land and I don’t call it camping because we have a toilet and shower and hot water. I love it. Love the mountains, love the solitude, love the simplicity. I just need to get my sewing machine up there and I would be in heaven. Thanks.

  9. Nope…..I don’t camp! Too many bugs! I like my cozy bed and sewing room too much!
At 60 those days are gone! Thanks for the chance to win!
