Yep..you read it right…BARBECUED Green Beans. Â Everyone is familiar with baked or barbecued beans but giving that flavor to green beans isn’t something we typically think of.
When I saw the recipe I knew I have to give it a try. Â It has turned into one of my favorite ways to eat green beans.
This year they are even easier to make with my  Instant Pot  7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.  I didn’t use the pressure cooker setting for these but did use the saute and the crock pot setting.
I started out by sauteing 4 strips of bacon and a medium chopped onion.
After that I added 3/4 cup ketchup, 2 Tablespoons of mustard, 1/2 cup brown sugar and 1 1/2 quarts of green beans.
I stirred it up then set the cooker to crock pot setting and put in on for 2 hours.
I loved using my  Instant Pot  7-in-1 Programmable Pressure Cooker.  I can saute and then slow cook all in the same pot.  Less dishes is always a winning combination.
Give the recipe a try….it’s a nice way to use up garden beans and also a way to keep some heat out of  the kitchen.
