Banana Pudding Poke Cake

The other day I was on Facebook and my niece posted a recipe on her wall, Banana Pudding Poke Cake.

I really wanted to make it but went to my stash of cake mixes and I didn’t have a white cake mix.  If you remember, I made a commitment to not buy more cake mixes in my cake mix challenge.  On August 17th I had 17 cake mixes in my aersonal.  Now I am down to 8.  That’s not too bad…but still I wanted to make this cake.  I checked-no yellow cake mix either.  UGH.

Well…I was going to town so if I got the mix and used it immediately it really wouldn’t count (or so I reasoned)…I got home and made the cake the next day.

I am a lover of banana cream so this was something I really liked.  I’ve been pretty good about avoiding sweets so this was especially a treat.

Hubby isn’t a banana lover at all…but he did eat a piece and didn’t die…in fact he liked it-minus the bananas.  It’s a nice dessert that seems fancy but is super easy.
