A post from Kelli–
Ive never been one of those ladies that craved chocolate. Peanut butter though…ugh–count me in every time! I feel like everything-mostly-tastes better with peanut butter! I think part of it might be the mix of salty and sweet, but whatever it is, i love it!
So you can imagine my excitement when Pinterest shiwed me a recipe for these Avalanche “Cookies.” They have white chocolate and peanut butter…and even marshmellows!
Yiu can find the link here–https://cookiesandcups.com/no-bake-avalanche-cookies/
I ended up multiplying it by 1.5 so id have some to take to work and some to share with Jasons parents.
Doesnt this look so wonderful?
I sure thought so!
Then I added in the rice crispies and marshmellows.
And the whole time, Puppycat was really hoping Id drop some on the floor, because she was ready for clean up duty!
They made a pretty decent sized batch–just enough for what I needed. And were they good? I dont believe there will likely be extras…we’ll just leave it at that!
And my other favirite part? No need to turn the stove on during a hot summer day–which also means i dont have the possibility to burn them. Double score!!!
I’m glad you mentioned no-bake. My oven hasn’t worked in some time and I do get hungry for cookies. Thanks for sharing.
These are my favorite!! You make me want to whip some up!
These look delicious! Thanks for sharing them. I’m always on the lookout for something easy the kids can make – especially on hot days!
I think you need to add some salted peanuts next time.
These do look good and sound easy, thanks for the share
My recipe includes a cup of dry roasted peanuts. When I use chocolate bark, my daughter calls them mudslides. I like to use mini muffin tins with paper liners and a small cookie scoop to make them more uniform.
Kelly – I was wondering if you could just pour this into a pan and cut into bars. Have you tried that?
