AUCTION HERE: Attachments

I had a blog reader contact me and ask if I have any attachments for vintage sewing machines…Well, of course I do.  HA!!  She wanted to purchase a set and I had some I was willing to part with so being I was taking pictures for her, I thought I would share them all with you in case someone else was looking for attachments.

Here’s the guidelines:
Bids must be entered in the comment section.  PLEASE  WRITE THE Number OF THE ITEM AND THEN THE AMOUNT YOU ARE WILLING TO PAY.  If you are the winner of the bid, the postage amount will be added on to your ending bid price.  You can pay via Paypal.  I will also accept personal check but check will have to clear before merchandise is sent.  Bidding will close at NOON Central Time on Monday.  I will send a confirmation email to the winning bidder later in the day on Monday. Then hopefully bids can be paid and I can package the items up and get them in the mail ASAP.  If you do bid please watch your email so we can take care of the correspondence efficiently.  For each of of the items a $6 postage fee will be added.  I don’t know for sure how much it will cost, I’m just making a guess and am content with that price.  NO ITEMS WILL BE SWAPPED FROM ONE BOX TO A DIFFERENT BOX.  These have not been expertly cleaned and are as is condition.

I claim to know nothing about these attachments.  I don’t know what foot is what.  I don’t know how to use them.  I don’t know what is or isn’t a complete set.  If you have questions contact me at rogjok@iowatelecom.net or leave a comment.  I’ll post answers to all question here on this post.

On to the bidding.

Item #1:  Singer Buttonholer + $6 postage

The buttonholer set has lots of cams with it.  There are obvious scuffs on the main piece.

Item #2:  Singer Buttonholer + $6 postage

This comes as shown.  The instruction book is included.

Item #3:  Greist Buttonholer + $6 postage

This has the buttonholer attachment and three cams.

Item #4:  Singer Buttonholer + $6 postage
Inside the book it says “Adjustable buttonhole worker for Model “CC” Singer.  It comes with instruction book and what you see.
Item #5:  Singer attachments + $6 postage….

There is a hole in the top of the box.  The pieces shown are included.
Item #6:  Singer attachments + $6 postage

There is no hole in this box.  What you see is included.

Item #7:  Greist attachments + $6 postage
Although there is no label on the metal case, the attachments say Greist on them.
Item #8:  Attachments + $6 postage

The outside of the box says “Attachments”.  The box is in good shape and super cute.  The attachments are labeled “Greist”.

Item #9:  Attachments + $6 postage

I can faintly read “New Home Attachments” on the top of this metal case.  These are the inside pieces.  Many of the attachments have the “Greist” label.

Believe it or not, I have more boxes of attachments and buttonholers.  If you don’t see what you are looking for here, let me know and I’ll put more auction items up another day.

As a reminder….

I have a Griest buttonholer that I used on my Mom’s and my Aunt’s “White” brand sewing machines. It made the best buttonholes, nothing like the no so great ones on my Bernina.

  2. Fun to look at all these items. I had to look up Greist and learned that he left Singer to open his own attachment designing business. Very interesting. I hope you get lots of bids on these!

  3. I don’t even have a machine the attachments would fit on, but my mother/grandmother had a black box with all those attachments when I was little. They made the most darling ruffles for my dresses and my grandmother knew exactly which one to use to make the perfect dress. I miss her and those attachments. Good luck on your sale.
