Our quilt top auction is ending tonight at 10pm CENTRAL TIME.
If you missed the original post about these you can find it HERE. I thought to recap it here so in case anyone missed it. Remember part of the monies for these quilts will be used to support our charity quilting project.
So here are the specifics. These are hand stitched quilt tops-only quilt tops. All are in good condition-no rips, tears, or stains that I noticed. To bid all you need to do is to go to the ORIGINAL POST comment section and place your bid. Bidding will close at 10pm on June 23th-central time. A $13 fee will be added to each quilt top to cover shipping and to provide $100 worth of insurance. Should one person purchase all of the auction items, we’ll figure out an alternate cost to combine some of the shipping.
#1 Quilt- Aqua Four Patch- 76″ x 90″. The background color on this one is just great. AT THE TIME I WROTE THIS THE QUILT WAS GOING FOR $80. Raised up to $101.
Notice that the corners are mitered.
Here’s a view of the back so you can see the stitches.
That was quilt #1.
Now for quilt #2…this one is so whimsy. I love it! It is 81″ x 81″. AT THE TIME I WROTE THIS THE QUILT WAS GOING FOR $65. Raised up to $75.
See the unique mis-matched block.
Here’s the stitching…
Check out this mis-matched ones. This quilt has a lot going on in it! If you look close to the picture on the left you’ll see that the aqua fabric from the first made it into this quilt. That’s making me guess that the 1st quilt was made first and this one was made later.
Item #3.
I also have another small hand stitched piece. This one my daughter Kayla gave me. I’m not sure where she got it and it has no history that I know of. It isn’t completed. It is what you see. It is hand stitched. It is 86″ long and 20″ wide at the widest part. I thought about cutting it down and making it into a table runner.
A question came in on this item…YES, the color on this is black. Technically I might call it a dark charcoal. AT THE TIME I WROTE THIS PIECE WAS GOING FOR $12. Raised up to $25.
Here’s an idea of the colors in it. This is a nice piece. It’s too bad it’s not bigger.
