My daughter Kelli and I just returned from a weekend of fun at the “Quilt til you Wilt” retreat out in Okaoboji, Iowa. Oh…we are tired girls. We sewed lots…visited more…and even hit a couple antique shops!! Fun…FUN! We are really hoping we can return next year and hang out with the gals again. We were the newbies of the group. The rest have been together for 10 years but boy oh boy did they ever make us feel welcome!
My camera ran out of battery….so I don’t have many pictures..UGH!!
While I unpack and get my sewing machine set up, hop over to Moda’s The Cutting Table blog.
Kelli and I are one of the featured designers over there. If you are new here..WELCOME! We are glad to have you stop by.
Let me tell you a few things about us….
We are currently working on TWO projects for Moda Bake Shop. One uses the new “Oink a Doodle Moo” fabric line and the uses “Paintbox Batiks”. We are almost done with both so be watching for those designs. We also have a couple projects that will be featured in upcoming “Quiltmaker” magazines. We are super excited about that so watch for those too.
We blog here daily. If you are looking for something to read while you’re drinking your morning coffee, stop by. We always have something new or fresh whether it’s projects we are working on, thrifty finds, the antics of our beagles, what’s cooking, what we’re reading or other day to day things. One of our most popular features is “Try it on Tuesday”. Each Tuesday we try out new products (most related to quilting), and typically pass them along to you. In fact, we have a giveaway going on right now. You can find that here.
As exciting as it is for us to be featured over at The Cutting Table, the bigger excitement at our house is that our youngest daughter Kalissa got her itunes album together and available for sale on Amazon. She wrote ALL of the songs and performed them all herself. You find the album her album Nothing Like Me here. We are oh so proud of her. You can hear little snippets of the songs there too. Check it out.
If you want to stay connected to our blog, follow us on Facebook..or better yet, just stop by. We’d love to share our antics with you.
Oh my gosh! How fun is THAT? You’re all going to be famous! Kalissa is really good and I love that she writes her own songs! Is she pursuing a career in music? I listen to a lot of music and I love the stripped down versions with just the singer and a guitar.
Hi Jo, How do you get the Find us on Face book button on your blog? Have a girlfriend started a blog & just learning. I’d like to follow her but she doesn’t know how to do it.

a quilt retreat in Okoboji? Sheesh–why do I find out about these things too late–I just live 85 miles from the Iowa border–straight shot west. We were in Sheldon IA last week.
The eggs look gross. Nah–I don’t think store bought eggs would be any different!
