Ask Jo: Back Issues

Over the last two weeks I’ve had three emails asking about our On the Bright Side Quilt.  The questions are typically this from Erin, “I love your On the Bright Side quilt and would love to make it.  However, I was not able to find the magazine last month when I went searching for it. Is there a way to purchase the pattern?

This is our On the Bright Side quilt…..More about this quilt here…and suggestions on how to make it smaller here.

All People Quilt- which is where American Patchwork and Quilting have their website, is where you can find back issues of their issues.  Here is the link.

While I was at their site I noticed that we had quilts in four of their eight issues last year.  We had this in the February issue….

This quilt is SUPER simple and easy to make.  It’s PERFECT for a quick gifted quilt.

We had a pretty busy year working with American Patchwork and Quilting.  I’m so glad we had the opportunity…it’s always fun to included and even better when we make the cover like we did once this year!!

If you are wanting to find back issues of any of these magazines.  Here is the link.  If you have made any of these quilts or others of our quilts, we’d love to feature them here on the blog.  Just drop me an email at rogjok@iowatelecom.net.

Wow! I must have missed the blog post on Points Of Interest last year because I have never seen that quilt before. I love it! Thanks for the link to the back issues.

  2. Oh my, Jo, thanks for including my pink and aqua Points of Interest photo which I sent to you via your Facebook page. So fun to see it in your blog posting. I was at your retreat in August with Bonnie Hunter.

Congrats on all your 2018 quilt patterns. Look forward to seeing the On The Bright Side quilt pattern.

    Thanks. Jill C.

  3. Wow I just took my Points of Intrest to the quilter today!! Didn’t know how the dark brown background would be but I love it thanks for sharing this pattern with us. Hope to see you In Oelwein this summer.

  4. I’ve got to get busy! Two of your quilts are on my must make list and I bought both magazines just for your patterns! So little time, so many quilts to make!!!

Oh, shoot! I went to the website to get the pattern, and got interrupted before I could checkout. I went back today to get it and they seem to be sold out. That was fast!

Duh! I was stupid. They are selling digital copies and one was already in my cart. Well, I managed to buy one and download it. Not easy for my poor old brain. But I think it will be worth it. :-)

  7. OK this has sparked another question for me. When you made the ON The Bright Side quilt. Did you use all of the same fabric for the white, and the navy blue stars?
