In my Facebook feed I saw a recipe for cookies. Â They were listed as almond joy cookies. Â Well Almond Joy candy bars are my very favorite candy bar so I thought to give them a try. Â Well after reading the ingredients I could see that I wasn’t going to make them. Â The ratio of ingredients seemed a little off like there might be a typo in the recipe. Â I decided to google and see if I could find a different recipe for them instead.
I did google and I did find a recipe.
The cookies only have four ingredients so they are super quick. Â They were a little bit hard to get off the pan. Â I quickly learned to let them sit about a minute before removing but not longer than that.
YUM. Â Hubby who doesn’t really like coconut, has been eating them.
They are tasty and do remind me of an Almond Joy candy bar. Â I found the recipe at Mom on Time Out blog. Â You can follow this link for the recipe.
One of the best things I did to get me out of the rut I felt I was in with cooking was to make a commitment to have a recipe on the blog more frequently. Â I’m so glad I did as without that commitment, I likely wouldn’t have tried these…YUM.
Hi Jo I know this does not pertain to your daily blog. Forgive me. I was wondering if there is room to attend the trunk show of yours and bonnie Hunter? I am not for sure what night this is , where, and time. We would love to attend the trunk show as we did last time you had a retreat. Your retreat filled up so fast this time so hopes are I can get in to the next one coming up in near future. I love you last blog on the baby quilt wonderful. Stay cool in this heat Joyce
It’s August 4th. 7pm at the Oelwein Middle school. I will write a blog post about it soon.
They sell something called parchment paper, stocked near the aluminum foil. I can’t bake cookies without it! Makes cleanup a breeze and it’s easier to get the cookies off the paper than the cookie sheet. Parchment paper and air insulated cookie sheets have made me a much better baker.
A few months ago, I made the Almond Joy cookies and loved them. I used parchment paper and they didn’t stick at all. I will definitely make them again.
thank you for all the things you share!
