Kelli and I are continuing to work on quilts for the new collaboration book we are a part of, 75 Fun Fat Quarter Quilts.
Here is “X Marks the Spot”. I apologize for the non-creative photos. It was rainy and really windy….not weather for taking great outdoor quilt pictures.
I love the quilt…love the design and love teal. I think it’s my favorite color if I working on the “bright side” of quilting. This design was so fun and very versitile. You could easily make this a little more “boyish” by pulling out the pinks and adding brown. I think that would look great.
For those of you who have been wanting us to design a few lap sized projects. We answered your call. This is only lap sized.
The backing was an effort to use up some fabric that was lying around here. The colors match wonderfully. The childcare kiddos loved the drum fabric.
Here’s Ruby showing off the quilt.
You might remember that we didn’t have to sew up all of the quilts we had designed…we just wanted to. So far from the book we’ve made Kim’s Deal…
and Miss Molly.
All seven of the quilts that we designed are come variation on the Churn Dash block. I think it’s so fun that there are so many varying designs all from one block.
We got in our latest shipment of books again so we’re ready to fill orders again if you’re interested in a signed autograph copy. You can find out more about that book, our book Country Girl Modern and our 2016 American Patchwork and Quilting Calendar along with the great deal we are running here.
Kelli has already started on the next quilt from the book. I can’t wait to see it!
Today we’re sharing our finished quilt at Confessions of a Fabric Addict, Crazy Mom Quilts, and Link a Finish Friday.
Your book has made it to my favorite local quilt store.
I love the x and o as the secondary design
Fun! I love the green!
I love Ruby and your quilts
